Obinna brings well over 21 years’ strategic leadership experience in project finance, infrastructure investments, governance, public policy management, project development and execution, deal origination, and project management.
His specialities cuts across climate finance, project finance & infrastructure, economic reforms, ESG. He has pioneered the operationalisation and management of several landmark institutions including the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority, as its first Senior Vice President, United Kingdom Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility (UKNIAF), He las also engineered and led the establishment key impactful institutions including InfraCredit, Development Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Mortgage Refinancing Company, etc.
He has been a key player in national Presidential Task Force on Power (PTFP), Presidential Fertilizer Initiative (PFI), and the Task Force on Infrastructure Master Plan.
Obinna holds Master of Science degree in Public Policy & Management from the University of Manchester, UK (2007), and a BSc in Political Science from the University of Abuja, Nigeria. He is an alumnus of Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University USA. Obinna serves on the Boards of pacesetting organisations delivering ground-breaking results across continents.
